Buyer's Hope is a down payment gift program, and it's designed for borrowers who may not have the necessary funds for a down payment or closing costs. Buyer's Hope will provide a down payment gift to a prospective home buyer at closing when the seller agrees to make a contribution to the Home Ownership Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, after the home closes. This service fee of 1% of contract sales price or $1000 (whichever is less) goes into the Home Ownership Foundation's special pool of funds and enables Buyer's Hope to continue to administer gift funds to future home buyers who benefit from down payment assistance.
